Facial Plastic Surgery Leadership and Legacy
Dr. Frank M. Kamer built a distinguished career in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, combining patient care in Beverly Hills with surgical education, published scholarship and national professional leadership. Founder of Lasky Clinic and a past president of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, he earned board certification in both facial plastic and reconstructive surgery and otolaryngology.
Dr. Kamer began practicing in Beverly Hills in 1971. His professional contributions included more than 70 published papers, clinical professorships at UCLA and USC, and fellowship training for physicians pursuing advanced expertise in facial plastic surgery.
Dr. Sayah is an incredible doctor. He is kind, caring and very talented. Dr. Sayah has a beautiful office in Beverly Hills, but it is not intimidating in the least. Education and Surgical Training
A native of New York, Dr. Kamer graduated magna cum laude from Tufts College and earned his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Following his surgical internship and residency training, he completed his chief residency in Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York.
Teaching and Professional Leadership
Dr. Kamer held appointments as Clinical Professor in UCLA’s Department of Head and Neck Surgery and Clinical Professor in USC’s Department of Otolaryngology. He also served as a fellowship preceptor in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery under the auspices of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
His leadership included serving as president of the Academy from 1988 to 1989. His career also encompassed committee and advisory work involving ambulatory surgery, surgical education and healthcare accreditation.

Continuity of Care With Dr. David Sayah
As Dr. Kamer entered retirement, his practice transitioned to Dr. David Sayah. This transition continued the practice’s emphasis on individualized care and a thoughtful approach to plastic surgery, while preserving its longstanding connection to patients in Beverly Hills.
